Well Properties: Well Tab
The Well tab displays all of the general well information associated with a well, including location and datum information. The fields will populate when a single well is selected from the Wells list.
General Information
General Well Information
UWI: The unique well identifier.
Owner: The owner of the well.
Well Name: The common well name.
Current Status: The current status of the well. The current status determines the well symbol on the map.
Well Number: The number assigned to the well by the operator.
API Number: The unique number assigned to the well by the American Petroleum Institute.
Description: A description of the well. You can use this field to store generic information about a well.
Surface X: The easting coordinate of the top hole location of the well.
Surface Y: The northing coordinate of the top hole location of the well.
Bottom X: The easting coordinate of the bottom hole location of the well.
Bottom Y: The northing coordinate of the bottom hole location of the well.
Lat/Longs:
Open the Latitude/Longitude
dialog.
This dialog allows you to view the latitude and longitude values for
the current well. In addition you can specify new values in
the
dialog and have this page automatically updated with new surface and
bottom hole locations.
Select
X,Y: Select
a northing and easting location from the map or
seismic.
Click the button, and then click on the desired location on the Basemap
or in the Seismic Viewer. The dialog will be updated with the new
information. If you have clicked the button in error, click
it
again to cancel X,Y selection.
Other Well Information
Operator: The business associate that operates the well.
Lease Name: The name of the lease where the well is located.
State/Province: The state or province the well is located in.
County: The county the well is located in.
Field: The assigned field of the well.
Spud Date: The spud date of the well.
Status Date: The date of the last modification for the current status.
Rig Release
Date: The rig
release date.
Elevation Information
Datum Elevation: This is the elevation that is used as the reference depth for tops and log curves when calculating subsea values. This will typically be the same as the KB or Ground Elevation.
KB: The KB elevation of the well.
Ground Elevation: The ground elevation of the well.
Depth Datum: This is the elevation reference that the Datum Elevation refers to. Normally this is either the KB or Ground Elevation. Set this item to ensure that any changes to either the KB or Ground Elevation are reflected in the Datum Elevation.
TD: The total depth of the well.
TVD: The true vertical depth of the well.
Water Depth: The depth of water at the well.
Well Tab Operations
Rename: Open the Rename Well dialog to rename a single well.
New: Clear
all the general well information being
displayed. This
is useful when adding a new well.
Add: Add
the information in the dialog as a new well.
Update: Save
any modifications made to the general well information
for
the current well to the database.
Copy: Open
the Copy Well dialog to copy all well
information to a new well, and assign the well a new UWI.
Delete: Delete
the selected well or wells.
