Selection Lists

Before you can perform an operation you need to select values from the Log Curve, Source, or Owner lists. Not all operations require that you select values from every list. You can limit the information available in each list by typing in the search bar.

Log Curves: A list of all log curve names available in your project. You need to select a curve to perform any operation.

Source: A list of sources available in your project. These are only used for the Delete Matching Logs operation.

Owner: The owners associated with the project. This list is only active for users with adequate privileges.

Operations

Once you have selected values from the lists you can select the operation.

Generate Velocity Curves: Opens the Generate Velocity Curve dialog. Before clicking this button you must select a single sonic or density curve from the Log Curves list. If a well doesn't have the selected curve, no velocity curve will be created. This is useful when you didn't generate velocity curves when you initially imported your log curves.

Batch Rename:Opens the Batch Rename Log Curves dialog. Before pressing this button you must select your curves from the Log Curves list. You do not need to select a Source.

Delete Matching Logs: Deletes log curves matching the selected Log Curves, selected Sources, and selected Owners.  A few examples will illustrate the process.

Delete all log curves from source GNW: Select all the Log Curves in the list, and also select "GNW" from the Sources list.

Delete all DT log curves: Select "DT" from the Log Curves list, and select all the sources.

Delete log curves DT and GR only if the don't have a source: Select "DT" and "GR" from the Log Curves list and select "<Blank Source>" from the Sources list.

Apply To: Specifies which wells to apply the deletion to. This option is only used for the Delete Matching Logs operation.

All wells: Delete the log curves for all wells in the database.

Selected wells: Only delete the log curves for wells selected in the main well list.

Note: If you do not have Administrator privileges, you cannot select from the Owner list, and will not be able to delete log curves if they do not belong to you or the user you are impersonating.
