Raster Properties: Menus

Most options that are available from the top menu in the Raster Properties can be accessed by right clicking in the main area and selecting from the shortcut menu, or using an available icon.

Raster Properties Menus

File

Import:Launches the Raster Import dialog.

Save As:Saves the Raster Properties table to a text file.

Print:Prints the Raster Properties table.

Print Preview: Launches the Print Preview for the Raster Properties table.

Print Setup: Launches your printer dialog.

Exit: Close the Raster properties.

Edit

Make Active:Make the currently selected raster images active.  Active images will appear in the list of rasters in the map.

Make Inactive: Make the currently selected raster images inactive.  Inactive images will not appear in the list of rasters in the map.

Change Location / Size:This item pops up a Change Location / Size dialog that allows you to modify the location and size of the raster image. You can also bring up this dialog by double clicking on the raster image entry in the main dialog.

Delete:Delete the currently select image or images.  A dialog will pop up to confirm that you wish to delete the images.  The images will be permanently removed from the project, and their associated files will be deleted.  You can also delete rasters by selecting them and hitting the Delete key.

Copy: Copy the currently selected raster to an internal buffer for duplication using the paste function.  This function can also be accessed using the hot key combination Ctrl C.

Paste:Paste the rasters copied with the copy function into the project.  Faults will be named "Copy of ...".  For example if you copy and paste image LandSat the copy will be named Copy of LandSat.  This function can also be performed using the hot key combination Ctrl V.

Rename:Makes the name of the currently selected raster editable.  Edit the name in place and hit return to modify the name of the raster image.  A single raster must be selected.  You can also rename a raster image by double clicking on the name of the image.

Save As Filter:  Create a filter based on the selected rasters.

Select All:A quick way to select all the raster images. This function can also be performed using the hot key combination Ctrl A.

View

Invert Selection:Inverts the currently selected items in the properties dialog.  If an item is selected it will be deselected, and if an item has not been selected it will be selected.  This is useful when trying to activate or inactivate all but a few items.

Refresh:Reload the list in the property dialog.  It may happen that this list is not up to date.  Using this item will update the list.  This can also be accessed using the F5 hot key.

Properties Toolbar/Toolbar/Status Bar: Toggle these on and off to display the respective Toolbars.

Displayed Columns: Open the Set Displayed Columns dialog box and select the columns that you want to appear in selection lists throughout the project.

Tools

Data Filter Manager: Launches the Data Filter Manager application.

Import: Import raster images using the Import Rasters dialog.

Shortcut

The shortcut menu can be accessed by right clicking in the table area of Raster Properties. You can access most raster functionality from this menu.
