Cross Section Viewer
The Cross Section Viewer application is used to display cross sections that are created on the Basemap.
To open the application, from the Launch menu on the Main Launcher, select Cross Section Viewer.Once open, there will be a list of available cross sections in the Cross Sections Dialog. To select one for display, double click on the name. Once the cross section is displayed, you can define properties for display, add or remove items for display and pick tops and see correlated surfaces update in real time.
To create cross sections for display, use the Cross Section toolbar, on the Basemap.
To open an existing cross section, double click on the name in the Cross Section dialog.
| Logs | Right click any where in the display, and select "Add Log Track" from the context menu. |

Tops/Surfaces |
RIght click on the scene tree and open the Data Selection dialog. From there select Surfaces for a list of formations in the project. Select the desired formations and move them to the list on the right side using the arrows. Then click Ok. |
| Grids | RIght click on the scene tree and open the Data Selection dialog. From there select Grids for a list of formations in the project. Select the desired grids and move them to the list on the right side using the arrows. Then click Ok. |
Enter the Edit Tops mode by clicking on the Edit Tops icon
on the Mode Toolbar. Note: a log curve must be displayed to add new tops.
| Add | Left click on a log track, and a top with the name and source specified will be added to that well at the location of the tracking line. |

Delete |
Hold Shift + Click on a top to delete it. Alternatively, click on a well to highlight it and use the "X" icon on the mode toolbar. |
| Edit | Left click and drag any existing top to reposition it. Alternatively, click on a top to highlight it, and any parameters can be modified from the mode toolbar |

Predictive |
Enable this mode to allow the application to automatically determine the formation name as you pick tops on a well. It will use existing formations and surfaces created from other wells in the area to determine the name of the formation where you click eliminating the need to change the formation name as you pick tops working top to bottom on a new well. |
General Information:
The Cross Section Viewer is made up of the main display area, which shows the cross section chosen in the Cross Section dialog. Add data items using the Object Tree and Data Selection dialog, then customize how they look with the Object Properties. You can access features by using the Object Tree, Toolbars and Menus. And as always with most SeisWare applications, you can customize how things look by moving the widgets around.
