Attribute Calculator: Operations


The following is a list of operations that are available in the Attribute Calculator

Note: The Semblance - Dip Steered algorithm is compute intensive. Since the results of this calculation are required to run all of the volume curvature calculations, we recommend your select all of the volume curvature algorithms if you aren't sure of the one that you need, so that the Semblance - Dip Steered calculation only has to be completed once.

Semblance Creates results that show the similarity between adjacent traces as defined in the Data Window. It is the square of the sums divided by the sum of the squares.

Semblance - Dip Steered A semblance algorithm which runs multiple cubes using the dip steering window and the best semblance across all of the various dip cubes is used. 
Trace Mix Runs an average across L number of lines, M number of traces, and N number of samples.
Trace Mix Triangulation Runs a weighted average across L number of lines, M number of traces, and N number of samples.
Median  Runs a median across L number of lines, M number of traces, and N number of samples.
Dip Magnitude  Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and uses the dip of all of the various dipping cubes with the best semblance.
Dip Azimuth Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the dip azimuth from the cube that has the best semblance.
Mean Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the mean curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Gaussian Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the Gaussian curvature using the dips across the derivative window
Maximum Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the maximum curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Minimum Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the minimum curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Most Positive Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the most positive curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Most Negative Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the most negative curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Dip Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the dip curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Strike Curvature Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the strike curvature using the dips across the derivative window.
Shape Index Starts with the dip steered semblance algorithm and calculates the shape index using the dips across the derivative window.
