Copy Project Data: Restrictions

Use the Restrictions page to specify the Data Restrictions and Data Options when copying your project data.

Set Data Restrictions

None: Copy all data.

By map coordinates: Select the data by specifying optional constraints in map units.  You can fill in these values by dragging out a rectangle on the map.  If you leave all the constraint fields blank, the data will not be constrained geometrically.  You do not need to specify all the constraints.  For example, you could just specify the Minimum X constraint to clip out the data to the left of a certain axis.

Optional Minimum X Constraint: Optionally specify a constraint for the left edge of the map.

Optional Minimum Y Constraint: Optionally specify a constraint for the bottom edge of the map.

Optional Maximum X Constraint: Optionally specify a constraint for the right edge of the map.

Optional Maximum Y Constraint: Optionally specify a constraint for the top edge of the map.

Clear: A quick way to erase all the X and Y constraints from the dialog.

Restrict using polygons: Open the Select Polygons dialog to select an existing polygon to limit the geographic extents of the copy.

Data Options

Object Clipping

Specify how to clip each object (such as a culture layer or seismic line) against the provided constraints.  This item is only used when specifying data by map coordinates or by polygons.

Copy whole objects only: This will copy the entire object (such as an entire culture layer or whole seismic line) as long as part of the object satisfies the constraints.

Clip objects: This will clip objects to either the optional constraints or the polygons depending on which has been specified.

If Name Already Exists

Specify what to do when the destination project already contains data from the source project.

Overwrite the data: Overwrite data in the destination project with data from the source project.

Do not overwrite existing data: Leave the data in the destination project intact when it conflicts with the source data.

When Copying SEG-Y, and Slice Files

Specify what to do when copying seismic files to the destination project.

Attach to existing files:Attaches to the existing SEG-Y, and slice files in the source project. The files are left in their original location.

Copy files to the destination project: The SEG-Y, and slice files are first copied to the destination project before attaching them. They are copied to the data folder of the destination project, which may not be the main project folder.

Data Restrictions

Specify which data to consider in the copy.

Consider all data: All data associated with the project will be copied, including inactive data.

Consider active data only: Only active data will be copied

Copy To

Specify the owner of the copied data.
