Performance Properties: Disk Properties

Disk Properties allows you to enable local file caching. When local file caching is enabled, data stored on network drives is copied to a user-specified location on a local drive. Once the data is selected and the cache is updated, it is retrieved from the network location and will be stored in the Local Cache Folder. Subsequent requests for the same data will come from the local file cache instead of the network location, which improves performance.

Note: If a file saved to the local cache is altered, it is removed from the cache, and all changes are written to the original file on the network drive. To re-cache the file select you must select .

Note: If updates are being made on the project you are working on by another user on another machine, or by direct database updates, the cache will be out of date. When external changes are being made to your project you can ensure that the local file cache is updated correctly by selecting .
