Cross Section Viewer: Toolbars
The Cross Section Viewer application has several toolbars used to manipulate the appearance of the data in the display. To turn toolbars on and off, go to the Edit Menu to select/deselect the toolbar.
Main Toolbar
The Main Toolbar in the display area is used to manipulate the view, enter various modes for working, and to shift the cross section. The smaller sections within the toolbar can be turned on or off by right clicking on the toolbar or by checking them on or off under the View menu.

Note:Not all options will always be available. They will change based on the type of Display Mode used for the Cross section.
Basic Toolbar
Zoom to Fit Window: Scale the display area so that all visible data will fit into the window.
Zoom to Fit Vertically: Scale the display area so that the entire depth range of data will fit into the window,
Zoom In: Zooms into the display by a factor of 50%. The center of the viewable area will remain the same.
Zoom Out: Zooms out of the display by a factor of 50%. The center of the viewable area will remain the same.
Undo Zoom: Restores the zoom to the previous viewing location before the zoom operation was performed.
Redo Zoom: Restores the zoom to the previous viewing location before the zoom operation was undone using the Undo Zoom feature.
Mode Toolbar
Drag Zoom: Click and drag an area to zoom in on. The zoomed in area will try to center based on the box provided.
Vertical Zoom: Click and drag to define a vertical depth range to be zoomed in on. The zoomed in area will center based on the range provided.
Measurement Mode: Click to enter this mode. Click to start measuring and click to end. This will provide a straight line distance between the two points selected.
Edit Tops: Click to enter this mode. Go to any existing top, click and drag to reposition. To Add a new top click on the well or log track area to insert a top. The Delete a top, hold down SHIFT + Click on the top. See more details in the How to Edit Tops.
Stop: Only active if a mode is currently enabled. Click this to end the mode.
Scale Toolbar
Map Scale: The XY distance scale used to draw objects in the display area.
Z-Scale: The depth scales used to draw objects in the display area.
Dynamic Cross Section Toolbar
Reset Cross Section: Restores the line to the original location that it was selected from.
Shift Cross Section Up: Move the existing cross section line perpendicularly up (North) by the distance set in the Shift Increment field.
Shift Cross Section Down: Move the existing cross section line perpendicularly down (South) by the distance set in the Shift Increment field.
Shift Increment: The distance in map units by which the cross section is moved
Datum Toolbar
The Datum Toolbar is used to show the user what reference is being used to draw the wells relative to each other.

Datum On: Select a datum that should be used for the wells to be datumed on. There are some predefined datums from the General Well Information that can be used, and any surfaces or grids that are loaded into the display can be used. Note: the datuming is done using a grid created from the values specified. They are adjusted from the leftmost well in the display - all proceeding wells will be adjusted to match.
Datum On/Off: Toggle the datum on and off quickly using this toggle.
Print Toolbar
The Print Toolbar is used to show the user what reference is being used to draw the wells relative to each other.

Take Snapshot:Save an image of the current dispay.
Print Properties: Launches Print Properties to configure printing options
Print Preview: Opens Print Preview.
Template Toolbar
The Well Template Toolbar is used to show the user what reference is being used to draw the wells relative to each other.

Well Template:Select a tracks template that was created in the Log Template Builder to load into the cross section view. This will use the template and apply those display settings to all wells in the cross section display.
Re-apply Well Template: Removes the template from being used for the display settings for the Cross Section Viewer.
Save to Well Template: Uses the current Track Properties and saves it to a new template.
Well Template Designer: Launches the Well Template Designer application
