Line Properties

The Line Properties dialog allows you to view the properties of all the seismic lines in a project.  These include SEG-P lines. You can access functionality such as renaming and deleting lines from your project here. As with all properties, you can sort columns by clicking on the column heading and you can re-order columns by dragging and dropping them.

Main Area

Line properties are arranged in columns like the other properties dialogs. There are 4 tabs in the line properties: Lines, Files, Slice Groups and Slice Group Files. The Lines is the default tab displayed when you open the Line properties. Like other properties dialogs, you can sort any column by clicking on the column heading, and you can re-order columns by dragging and dropping.

To access any tools you can right click on the line, or highlight the line and use the menus above. You can also double click on any line to pop up either the 2D detailed properties or the 3D detailed properties.

Lines Tab

Line Name:The internal line name for the file.

Owner: The owner of the file.

Active:Specifies whether the line is active.  Only active lines will appear on the map.

Traces:Indicates the total number of traces in a line.

Brickable: Indicates whether a 3D line can have its horizons bricked. Only regular 3D lines (lines with the same number of traces for each inline) can be bricked.

First Shot:The lowest shotpoint value in the file. Only meaningful for 2D lines.

Last Shot: The highest shotpoint value in the file. Only meaningful for 2D lines.

First CDP: The lowest CDP value in the file. Only meaningful for 2D lines.

Last CDP:The highest CDP value in the file. Only meaningful for 2D lines.

Min X:The X coordinate of the left-most trace in the file.

Min Y:The Y coordinate of the bottom-most trace in the file.

Max X:The X coordinate of the right-most trace in the file.

Max Y:The Y coordinate of the top-most trace in the file.

Length: The total distance of the line measured from trace to trace. This distance will be in map units. This is only meaningful for 2D lines.

Additional Information

2D Detailed Properties: Double click on any 2D line to view the properties of that line.

3D Detailed Properties: Double click on any 3D volume to view the properties of that line.
