Log Editor: Edit Curves

Editing Modes

Draw: Freehand drawing on the curve.

Draw Line:Straight line drawing on the curve.

Zap:Makes a feature into a straight line. Useful for removing spikes.

Straight Line: Draws a straight line between two points on the curve.

Shift Up or Down:Shifts the curve vertically.

Clip Right: Removes all values that are to the right of a specific value.

 Clip Left: Removes all values that are to the left of a specific value.

Crop Top:Removes a portion of the curve at the top.

Crop Bottom: Removes a portion of the curve at the bottom.

Stretch/Squeeze Curve with Depth Pairs: Stretch and/or squeeze a log curve by selecting a reference track and adding depth pairs to match data with each other.

Select:Highlights a portion of the curve. Other edit modes such as copy requires a portion of the curve to be selected.

Cut:After a portion of the curve has been selected with the Select Icon, use this to remove that curve portion and place it into the clip board. This may then be pasted into another curve.

Copy:  After a portion of the curve has been selected with the Select Icon, use this to copy that curve portion and place it into the clip board. This may then be pasted into another curve.

Paste: This will allow a user to paste a portion of a curve that has been copied or cut. The region that the curve was cut or copied from will be displayed. You can simply click on it to paste it at the default location, or click and drag it to where it should be pasted.

Average: Smooths a selected region of the curve via averaging.

Block: Blocks a selected region of a curve.

Scale: Scale a selected region of the curve up or down.           

Shift Left or Right:Shifts the selected region of the curve horizontally.

Highlight Curve Using Cutoff: Displays which samples of the selected region of the curve met a criteria.

Stretch/Squeeze Velocity Curve: Modify a velocity curve by selecting equivalent events on synthetic and seismic tracks, to tie well data to seismic data.
