General Information
Displayed Tops Lists
You can create as many tops lists as you need. These lists are used in different places, for example the Basemap, to determine the tops that you want displayed.
Display Tops Lists: This is a collection of top lists that have been previously defined. You can define multiple lists to color tops differently. This allows you to easily switch between tops created by different interpreters, for example.
Add List: Create
a new list.
You will be prompted to give the list a name.
Delete List: Delete
the currently selected list.
This
does not delete the associated tops, but only a predefined displayed
tops list.
Copy List: Copy
the currently selected list to a new list. This allows
you to
quickly use an existing displayed tops list as a basis for another
displayed tops list.
Set as the default list: The default tops list to use in applications within SeisWare where tops are displayed. You can have multiple displayed tops list, but only one default.
Description: The description of the displayed tops list. Setting a description is an easy way to keep track of what each displayed tops list is being used for.
Formation and Aliases
Select the formations and formation aliases that you want associated with the current
displayed tops list.
Formations and aliases can be moved to the Selected
list by selecting
formations and aliases while pressing the Ctrl
key and then using the selection arrows, or by
double clicking on a single formation or alias. To help you make your
selection, type a search string into the search
bar.
Formation Sources
Specify
how you want source information used when displaying tops . Note: This only affects formations NOT formation aliases.
Use Any Source: The first formation encountered in the database will be displayed.
Use Selected Sources: The first formation encountered in the database that is associated with one of the sources in the Selected source list will be displayed.
Use Source Hierarchy: If a formation is associated with
the first source in the Selected
source list it will be displayed, otherwise the next source will be
used. When using source hierarchy make sure you have selected your source
in the correct order.
Sources List
Define the sources that you want to use to limit your displayed tops, making sure you select your sources in the right order when using a source hierarchy.
Sources can be moved to the Selected list by selecting sources while pressing the Ctrl key and then using the selection arrows, or by double clicking on a single source. To help you make your source selection, type a search string into the search bar. If you selected your sources in the wrong order, you can use the up and down arrows to reorder your selections.
Color List
Choose to color your tops using Formation/Alias or Source. Click on the color next to the name of the formation/alias or source to select a color. If you decide to color by Formation/Alias, you will see a list of the formations and aliases you have selected. If you decide to color by Source, you will see a list of the sources you have selected. Note: If you select a formation that is already a match in a formation alias, the coloring of the alias takes precedence.
