SEG-Y Export: Keywords

Use the Keywords page to select how to export keywords to the SEG-Y file. This page is only visible after selecting the Generic SEG-Y Format option on the Output Format page.

Specify Keywords

Select how you want keywords associated with the export file.

Enter manually: After choosing this option the next page will allow the user to enter keywords manually. It will take you to the:

From keyword file: This option allows you to select a predefined keyword file. Click to select the file. It is often easier to predefine a keyword file, especially when you frequently export data for use in a specific package. See how to define keyword files here.

Do not use keywords: Choose this option to avoid having to specify keywords for export.

Header Clearing

Clear binary and trace headers before writing keywords: Turn this on to clear the output headers before writing the user specified keywords. When this item is turned off the existing SeisWare keywords will remain in the header, although they may be overwritten by user specified keywords.
