2D Modeling
The 2D Modeling
application allows
you to create simple cross sections and 2D forward models. You can open
the application and create a cross section from the Basemap by clicking
the Select 2D Modeling
icon (
), selecting the wells that you want included in the cross
section, and then right clicking on the map. Alternatively, open the application by selecting 2D Modeling from the Well
menu of the Main Launcher. After you open the application, select the wells using an
option found in the File menu.
Refer to the 2D
Modeling workflow if this is your first time working
with this application.

General Information
2D Modeling
The main area of the 2D Modeling window displays the selected wells, and the correlations that exist between them. If wells are selected from the map the wells will appear in the window when it is opened. If the application is opened from the Main Launcher, the display will be blank until the wells are selected. For more information on setting up the 2D Modeling display, refer to the 2D Modeling workflow or the Edit Correlations help file.
There are toolbars and menus at the top of the window, and
a status bar at the bottom
of the main drawing area that tracks and displays additional
information while you are working.
