Well Intersections: Output Parameters

The Output Parameters page allows you to set the final output parameters and complete the operation.

Output Options

Use these options to determine which data values to output.

Output: When you define the intersection location as Horizontal intervalson the Intersect With page, instead of outputting all data values, you can optionally choose to output an Average, Median , Maximum, or Minimumvalue.

Values to Use: Specify which grid values are used when extracting data from grids.

Interpolated Grid Values:If selected, bi-cubic spline interpolation is used to determine the value of the grid at the well location. This may result in an interpolated grid value that exceeds the actual grid data extents.

Raw Grid Values: If selected, the grid values will be used as is. Thus, if grid cells are 50 by 50, then the value used within that entire area will be the constant.

Output As

File:Specify a file name to which all data should be exported. The file is a comma delimited text file that can be opened in other programs. The default location is in the "WellIntersects" folder within your project directory.

Top:Select the name of an existing top or enter the name of a new top.

Log Curve: When you define the intersection location as Horizontal intervalson the Intersect With page, you can output the extracted data values as a log curve. Select the name of an existing curve or enter the name of a new curve.

Additional Output Options

Source (optional): When you output the data as a top or a log curve, optionally specify a source.

Overwrite Existing Data:Turn turn this on when you want to overwrite existing data. Note that to overwrite data the output name, source, and owner must be the same.

Export Tops: When you output the data as a file, include formation top values in the file. Turn this on and click .

Tops To Export: It may be helpful to export tops with your file to help you analyze the exported values. Left click to select a top, or use the Ctrl key on your keyboard to select tops, and then use the selection arrows to move the tops to the Selected list. Alternately, you can move a single top to the Selected list by double clicking on it.

Source (Optional): Select the source from the drop down list to specify the source of the tops to include in the export file.

Units: Select the units from the drop down list to specify the units for the tops in the export file. Select from Feet and Meters.

Base: Select the base from the drop down list to specify the base units for the tops in the export file. Select from Subsea, TVD and MD.

Well Zone Attributes Operations

Finish: Press to complete the operation and create the file, or write the tops to the database.
