Grid Properties

The Grid Properties dialog allows you to view and manipulate the properties of grids within a project.

Main Area

Grid properties are arranged in columns. You can sort these columns by clicking on the column heading and you can re-order them by dragging and dropping the column. Access functionality by right clicking in the table area, or using the menus and toolbars

Columns

Grid Name:The name of the grid. This is the name that will appear in selection lists.

Owner: The owner of the grid.

Description: An optional description for the grid.  This is entered when you create or import the grid or from grid properties.

Active:Indicates whether the grid is currently active. Grids that are not active will not appear in dialogs. Making grids inactive will help to reduce the clutter in projects with many grids.

Columns: The number of grid nodes in the north/south direction.

Rows: The number of grid nodes in the east/west direction.

Width:The width of a single grid cell in map units.

Height: The height of a single grid cell in map units.

Min X: The leftmost position of the grid in map units.

Min Y:The minimum (bottom most) position of the grid in map units.

Min Z: The minimum value of any node in the grid.

Max X:The rightmost position of the grid in map units.

Max Y:The maximum (top most) position of the grid in map units.

Max Z: The maximum value of any node in the grid.

Last Modified: The last time the grid file was written.
