Export SEG-Y/Segment Files

The Export SEG-Y Segment Files wizard allows the user to export SEG-Y or segment files from the data loaded into SeisWare for import into other packages.

ClosedHow do I export a SEG-Y or segment file?

  1. Select the type of file you want to export, an existing SEG-Y file or a segment file.

  2. Select the SEG-Y files or segment files to export.

  3. (Optional) Load a parameter file. This can be created on the final page of the Export SEG-Y/Segment Files wizard.

  4. Set Output Format options. 

  5. (Optional) If exporting Generic SEG-Y Format data, specify Keyword Locationsto be used.

  6. (Optional) Apply bulk shift from database.

  7. (Optional) Set polygon clipping if needed.

  8. Set Destination Parameters.

  9. Click  to export the file. Optionally save a parameter file that will store all of the format, keyword, bulk shift, clipping, and destinations parameters so they can be used in another export operation.

Select Data To Export

Select the type of data you want to export. 

Export existing SEG-Y files: Export seismic files that are already loaded into the current project.

Export segment files: Export segment files as 2D SEG-Y files. This allows the user to export arbitrary traversals through a 3D as a simple SEG-Y file for input into other packages. You can save segment files using the Save Segment File option on the File menu of the Seismic Viewer.
