Compact/Repair Database
The Compact/Repair Database application is used to compact the databases used to store project data as well as repair Microsoft Access databases. Compacting a database removes all the empty columns and rows improving speed and reducing the size of the database. Repairing a database fixes any broken links that may be present in the database.
How do I compact/repair my database?

Ensure the project that is to be compacted/repaired is not open.

Highlight the project in the list you want to compact/repair or click
to highlight all the projects. Multiple
projects can be compacted/repaired at the same time. -
Click
. Once the cursor returns to the 'Arrow'
shape from the 'Hourglass' it means it has finished. -
Click
and reopen the project.
General Information
Select All:Select all the projects in the list.
Useful when batch
compacting
all your projects.
Compact/Repair:Compact
the databases for the selected
projects. Once this process is complete, a repair will be run on any project that has a Microsoft Access database.
