3D Visualizer
The 3D Visualizer application is used to display project data in 3D space. To open the application, from the Launch menu on the Main Launcher, select 3D Visualizer.
When you first open the application it will be blank. You can build a scene by selecting data using the shortcut menus in the Scene Tree dialog box. Then, you can define the properties of the data items using the Object Properties dialog box. Build multiple scenes, customizing the data and its properties, and then open any scene from the Scenes dialog box to restore the display. always contains the most current interpretations.
The 3D Visualizer application has menus, toolbars, and dialog boxes to help create and customize your display. Use keyboard shortcuts to speed up manipulation and customization of the display.
| Pan | Click the scroll button and drag the display to a new position. |
| Zoom | Push the scroll button away from you to zoom in on the display, and pull it towards you to zoom out on the display. |
| Rotate | Click and drag to rotate the display around the center of rotation. |
To center your view on any visible data item, right click on the item in the Scene Tree dialog box or in the scene, and select Go To <Item>. For more navigation options, use the Navigation Toolbar.
Click the Select icon (
) on the toolbar, or press S on the keyboard to enter selection mode, and then click on an object. You can then change the properties of the object in the Object Properties dialog box, and use the toolbars when applicable to modify the display.
Click the Navigate icon (
) on the toolbar, or press N on the keyboard to return to navigation mode so you can manipulate the display.
General Information
The 3D Visualizer application has menus, toolbars and dialog boxes to help you create and customize your scene. The dialog boxes can be docked on either side of the display to maximize the space used to display data.
