SEG-Y Export: Destination

The Destination page allows you to specify the location of output files and other optional output parameters.

Write Files To

Specify where to write the exported SEG-Y.

SCSI tape: Select this option to output the files to SEG-Y tape.  Files will be output sequentially with a single file mark between files.

Tape Device: Select the device number when exporting to SCSI Tape.  Normally this will be device 0, although it may be different if you have multiple tape devices connected to your machine.

Disk: Output files to a disk location.

Destination Folder

Destination Folder: Specify the destination folder to place the files when output to disk.  The folder must already exist.  You can browse for a folder by clicking .

Output File Names

Select how you want the files named when writing to disk.  The default form is LineName.sgy. If you select both  Include Type and Include Version Number SeisWare file name.  For example, if the type was "mig" and the version number was 10, the output file name would be LineName.mig.0.sgy.

Line Name: You can optionally specify a new line name for the file.  This option is only available when exporting a single file.  You might want to specify a new line name when exporting a chunk of a 3D survey.

Include type: Select this option to include the type of the original file in the output file name.  For example, if the type of the original file was "mig" the output file name would be LineName.mig.sgy.

Include version number: Select this option to include the version number of a file in the output file name.  For example, if you are exporting version 10 of a file, the output file name would be LineName.0.sgy.

If Output File Exists

Specify what to do when a file of the same name exists in the destination folder.

Do not overwrite: Select this item to preserve the original file in the destination folder.  A message will be generated in the error log if the file already exists.

Overwrite the existing file: Select this option to overwrite the original file with the new file.
