License Configuration

The License Configuration dialog is used to configure your software license. Licenses need to be configured on the machine that houses the USB license key (dongle) or the license file, as well as each workstation that is accessing the license. This window displays information relevant to your license and workstation, and is used to access the License Source Configuration options.

Menus

Configure Menu: Access license configuration and reservation options, safely remove your USB license key, and update license information. ClosedSee Configure menu options...

View Menu: Access the License Viewer and refresh the information displayed in the window. ClosedSee View menu options...

Toolbar

Configuration: Open the License Source Configuration dialog box to configure the software license.

Refresh: Update the information being displayed in the License Information section of the window.

License Information

This area displays information about your license. When you are using the software for the first time the there may be no information to display and the License and Type fields will read"<unavailable>" ,indicating that you need to update your License Source Configuration options.

Expires: The expiration date your software license. This is for information only.

Type: The type of license currently being read. This is for information only.

Local Server: The status of the local license server. If this does not say "Running", click . Note: This option is not available when you have a machine based license key.

Restart: Stop, uninstall, reinstall and start the local license server. You may need to do this if there has been a disruption to your service.

Component/Count: A list of the components included with your software license and their associated license counts.

Computer Information

This area displays information about the local computer, which can be used to set up floating and reserved licenses.

Computer Name: The name of the local computer.

MAC Address: The MAC address of the local computer. This is a unique hardware ID that can be used to set up reserved licenses.
