Volumetrics Calculator: Structure (Top and Base Grids, Contacts)
On the Structure page you specify the volume by providing top and base grids, and optional inclusion and exclusion polygons, and contact depths. The diagram demonstrates how each field is used in defining the volume.
Structural Components
Optional Constraining Polygons: Open the Select Polygons dialog to select inclusion or exclusion polygons to define the limits of the volume.
Top Grid (Subsea): Select a grid in which the values are subsea elevations of the top of the volume.
Base Grid (Subsea): Select a grid in which the values are subsea elevations of the base of the volume.
Oil/Gas Contact (Subsea): Enter a subsea depth which constrains the top surface of the volume. The calculation will not include any volume located above the oil/gas contact.
Hydrocarbon/Water Contact (Subsea): Enter a subsea depth which constrains the bottom of the volume. The calculation will not include any volume located below the hydrocarbon/water contact.
