Basemap
The Basemap is used for displaying all the data in your project. If you are new to the software, use the Basemap Workflow, to help you get started.
The Basemap is made up of:
General Information
The Basemap default view is show above. By default, all Toolbars are turned on. The
default Active Dialogs
are: Current Selection,
Line Tracker, Colorbar, Navigator and Status Bar. You can
customize the display by turning toolbars
and active dialogs
on and off using the View Menu
toggles You can also drag
and drop the toolbars and the active dialogs for
further customization. Most functionality is
accessed via the menus, toolbars or by right clicking on the
main area.
The Main Area
The main map area will have your data drawn on it. Most functionality
of the Basemap is accessible via the menus
and toolbars, but you can
right click on the main area to access most menu
options. To modify the
appearance of the map, use the General
Basemap Properties. To modify
which layers are seen, use the Layer
Properties.
Status Bar
The Status Bar gives you the XY position of your cursor on the map,
and will also include the seismic line, and ribbon value displayed at
that position.
The status bar is considered an Active Dialog.
