SEG-Y Viewer: Toolbars

There is one toolbar at the top of the SEG-Y Viewer which allows you to access the main tools in the application, and a status bar to help you when editing and adding keywords.

Main Toolbar

 

Use this toolbar to perform simple functions like adding and graphing keywords.

Open: Opens SEG-Y files in the SEG-Y File Viewer.  Files can be loaded (SeisWare format) or raw.

Load Keyword File: Loads in a predefined keyword file (.kwd).

Save Keywords: Saves the keyword definitions to the current .kwd file being used.

Copy:Copies the selected data to an internal buffer for duplication using the paste function.

Print:Not yet implemented.

Add Keyword:Launches the Add Keyword dialog which allows you to define a Key Name and Scale Factor for the Byte Offset that your cursor is currently placed in.  The Byte Offset can be changed to add the keyname of any position in the SEG-Y Viewer data area.  If the desired Key Name does not appear in the drop down list one can be manually typed in.

Graph Word: Launches the Graph Header Word dialog which allows you to graph the Byte Offset that your cursor is currently placed in.  The Byte Offset can be changed to graph any position in the SEG-Y Viewer data area.  The First and Last Trace can also be modified to that only a portion of the header word is graphed.

Keyword Calculator:  Displays the Keyword Calculator dialog, which allows the computation of a new keyword into a specified header offset.

Copy Keyword To Displays the Copy To dialog, which allows the copying of a keyword value into a different header offset.

Launch Seismic Viewer:  Launches the Seismic Viewer to view the current SEG-Y.

Keyword Analyzer Launches the Keyword Analyzer to view the keyword values for the currently active SEG-Y.

Help:Launches help.


Status Bar


This toolbar tells you which Byte Offset your cursor is currently on in the SEG-Y Viewer Date Area.  This toolbar appears in the bottom left hand corner of the SEG-Y Viewer.
