Data Filters

The Data Filters window allows you to create filters for all data types - Wells, Seismic Lines, Grids, Culture, Horizons, Faults and Rasters. These filters can be applied throughout SeisWare when selecting data, and applied to your project area to remove any data that is not of interest to you from your project view. This window can be opened from the Sessionmenu of the Main Launcher.  

General Information


Filter Manager Icons

Properties: Open the Filter Editor on the selected filter to edit the name, description, or members.

Create Selection Filter: Open the Filter Editor to create a new filter for the data type displayed on the current tab.


Create Criteria Filter: Open the Criteria Filter dialog to create a filter based on well data associated with the wells in the project.

Delete Filter: Delete the selected filter.

Copy Filter: Create a copy of the selected filter. The new filter will have the original filter name with " Copy" appended to the end.


Data Tabs

Each data tab shows you a list of filters that have been created, the filter that is currently being applied in the project, and a list of the data that is currently active in a project. 

Available: A list of filters that have been created for the data type displayed on the current tab. To move a filter to the Selected list, double click on the filter name, or select the filter and use the selection arrows.b

Selected: A list of filters that are currently selected for the data type displayed on the current tab. To move a filter out of the Selected list, double click on the filter name, or select the filter and use the selection arrows.

Members: A list of the data that is currently active in the project for the data type displayed on the current tab. The number of members in the list is displayed at the top of the field. There is a shortcut menu available in the members list which can be used to create filters without opening the Filter Editor, to navigate to the properties window for each data type, and in some cases to make a copy of the selected piece of data in order to transfer ownership.  Note: The Area of Interest Filters and User Filters are applied to list of members, which my explain why some data is unexpectedly not in the list.
