Copy Project Data

The Copy Project Data application allows you to copy data from one project to another. This application has a multitude of uses. You can:

Copy an entire project to a different location.
Copy interpretation from one project to another.
Subset a project from a larger project.
Merge several smaller projects into one large project.
Perform coordinate conversion on projects with different coordinate systems.
Move a project from one SQL Server to another SQL Server.

How do I copy data from one project to another?

Select the Source Project.
Select the Destination Project.
If the Coordinate Systems of the Source and Destination Project do not match indicate if you want to convert the coordinates. To get this page to appear, check if the coordinate systems have been set in Project Properties.

Select the Set Data Restrictions option. Note: If you copy By map coordinates or Restrict using polygons you will proceed immediately to the final page of the Copy Project Data wizard.

To copy by data type:	Set Data Restrictions: "None" Data to Copy: "Select data manually"
To copy entire project:	Set Data Restrictions: "None" Data to Copy: "All Data"
To copy a geographical subset:	Set Data Restrictions: "By map coordinates" or "Restrict using polygons"

Select the Data Options.
Select the owner you want to Copy To.
Select the Data to Copy. Note: If you select All Data you will proceed immediately to the final page of the Copy Project Data wizard. If copying by Data Type, you can specify data items to copy. The options will only appear if you have that data item selected.
Select the data that you want to copy.
1. Select the SEG-Y Files to copy from the available lines.
2. Select the SEG-P Files to copy from the available lines.
3. Select the Slice Groups to copy from the available slice groups.
4. Select the Slice Group Lines to copy from the available lines.
5. Select the Horizons to copy from the available horizons.
6. Select the Horizon Constraints from the available files.
7. Select the Faults to copy from the available faults.
8. Select the Grids to copy from the available grids.
9. Select the Culture to copy from the available culture layers.
10. Select the Rasters to copy from the available rasters.
11. Select the Wells to copy from the available wells.
12. Select the Velocity Models to copy from the available velocity models.
13. Select the Inter-Well Picks from the list of available inter-well picks.
Click to start the copy.
