User Properties: Login Configuration
The Login Configuration dialog can be opened from the Edit
menu of the User Properties
window. This dialog allows a user with the role
of Administrator
to specify
what will happen
when a user who has no Username associated
with their Windows Login ID attempts to open a project. If a user
already has a Username
associated with their Windows login ID, the selection
in this dialog
will have no effect.
Login Configuration Options
Must have an existing login: With this option selected a user without a login will not be able to open a project. They will need to contact someone with the role of Administrator to assign them a Username and associated Login.
Without logins will be logged in as user:With this option selected all users who do not have an existing Username and associated Login will be logged in with the Username selected from the drop down menu. Note: This is the default setting, and when no users exist in a project the user will be "Default".
Without
logins will be created with default role of:With
this option selected all users who do not have an existing Username
and
associated Login
will have
one created for them based on their Windows
login ID. They will be assigned the role selected from drop
down list.
