Define Working Set

The Define Working Set dialog allows you define the working set of seismic files for a project. The working set determines which version of a file to show when opening seismic lines  from the Basemap, as well as the default version that appears in selection lists. A file can only be a member of the working set if it is active. This dialog also allows you to set priorities for non-working set versions of your seismic files. Working sets are saved to each specific user in a project. In other words, two users accessing the same project may have completely different working set versions of their lines.

Select Working Set Version

The Seismic Files list displays the working set version of all of the lines in your project. To change the working set version for a line, left click on the down arrow in the Dataset cell, and select an alternate version of the seismic file.

To help you make your line selection, you can left click on the line in the Line Properties window, left click the line on the Basemap, apply a  filter (), or type a search string into the search bar to limit the list using Line or Dataset information.

For additional selection and navigation options right click on the Seismic Files list to access the shortcut menu.

Operations

Select Dataset: Opens the Working Set Priority dialog. This dialog allows you to select a new working set version for your seismic line, as well as to set a priority for the way the alternate versions of a line appear in selections dialogs.

Import: Opens a File Explorer window to the Working Set  folder in User folder for the current user. From here you can select a working set file.

Export: Opens a File Explorer window to the Working Set  folder in User folder for the current user. From here you can save a file containing the current working set version for each seismic line.

Working Set Priority

The Working Set Priority dialog allows you select the working set version of your seismic lines, as well as to specify the priority of all other seismic lines. This will determine the default seismic line in your project, as well as the order in which all other seismic lines are listed. If you only want to select a working set version of your line, and don't want to set additional priorities, you can select a dataset from the Dataset cell in the main Define Working Set window.

Select Dataset Priority

Select the datasets from the list of Available files in their priority order. Left click to select a dataset and use the selection arrows to move it to the Selected list. You can also double click on the desired dataset to move it to the Selected list.

To make your selection easier you can sort any column by left clicking on the column header, or you can type a search string into the search bar to limit the list usingType, VersionorOwner information.

Move Up: Move selected dataset higher in the Selected priority list.

Move Down: Move selected dataset lower in the Selected priority list.
