Template Builder

The Template Builder window is used to create new well pad templates, as well as copy, rename, and delete existing templates. To open the Template Builder, from the toolbar in the Pad Plan 2D window, click the Template Builder icon ().

To create a template, from the Platform Properties dialog box define the size and orientation of the platform, and then from the Template Properties dialog box define its properties, including build rates and spacing. For a well pad template with multiple layers, increase the number of layers in the Layer Properties dialog box, and then define the properties of each layer separately. Note: Before building a template you must define your target zone(s) from the Target Properties dialog box.

After you create a template you can return to the Pad Plan 2D window and start to build a field plan by stamping the template one or multiple times. Templates are available in every scene and field development plan within a project.

The Template Builder window has menus, toolbars, and dialog boxes to help you create and customize your template.
