License Manager

The License Manager allows you to view live license distributions for your organization. This includes total number of licenses, number of available licenses, how many are in use and who is using them.

The License Manager dialog consists of:

• License Manager Table
• Menus
• Toolbar

License Table

The License Table shows all of the licenses for the organization, including who is currently using them.

Menus

The menus allow you to access the Login Configuration dialog, options for changing your display, Help, and creating and deleting users.

Toolbar

The toolbar allows you to recover orphaned licenses, checkout licenses for offline use as well as access the Help files.

The Recover Orphaned Licenses button will search for licenses that are being incorrectly consumed and release them so they are not being held indefinitely. This is useful when applications have crashed and are holding onto a license.

Device Based Licensing

If Device-Based licensing has been enabled for this machine, the License Manager will appear differently, as seen in the image below.

License usage will not be shown, instead a message states that license usage is not available with device based licensing. There will also be an additional icon in the toolbar, . This icon enables the user to Switch to a User Login license. If the machine has been switched back to User Login Licensing, but the Device-Based Licensing is still active, the icon will display the option to Switch to Device-Based license,
