Seismic Viewer
The Seismic Viewer is used for displaying seismic data as well as
performing a variety of interpretation task like picking horizons,
faults and looking at synthetics.
The Seismic Viewer is made up of:
To configure the appearance of the Seismic Viewer, use the Seismic Display Properties.
General Information
Main Area
The Seismic Viewer is composed of a main area in which the
seismic
is
displayed. The main area is surrounded by a
number of smaller
areas
that are used to initiate actions and give feedback to the user.
The look of the seismic is controlled in the Seismic
Display Properties.
Wells are projected onto the seismic based on the perpendicular distance from the line
and only appear if the Seismic Viewer is launched from the Basemap.
Status Bar
The status bar is used to give feedback to the user as they move their
cursor across the seismic display. The status bar will track
the
closest horizon or fault on the left. In addition it will
track
the
closest trace and line for 3D displays, or the closest shot and CDP for
2D displays. The time and amplitude values under the cursor
are
also
tracked. Depth values for synthetic tracks and curve overlays
will
track in the final box. Depth values are subsea.
