3D View: View Menu

The View menu provides access to the dialog boxes used to select the data to display, and adjust the controls for the overall behavior and appearance of the 3D View window. Many of these tools are also available on the Buttons and the Actions toolbars.

Picks: Open the 3D Pick Display dialog box to add and remove surface and fault picks from the 3D display. You can also open this dialog box from the Buttons toolbar.

Intervals: Open the Interval Display Controls dialog box to select which intervals to display, and control how they appear. You can also open this dialog box from the Buttons toolbar.

Zone Average Interval: Open the Zone Average Interval dialog box to select which zone average intervals to display, and control how they appear.

Scale: Open the 3D View Position and Scale dialog box to adjust the direction of the view, change the vertical exaggeration, set curve and marker sizes, and reset the 3D view. You can also open this dialog box from the Buttons toolbar

3D Controls: Open the 3D Controls dialog box on the selected tab. You can also open this dialog box from the Buttons toolbar

GeoImage: Open the Georeferenced Images dialog box to import ArcGIS Shapefiles and ZGF ASCII files, and control where they will appear in the 3D View and Map View windows.

Map View in 3D Box: Open the 3D Map View Options dialog box to select the map and seismic features to display in the 3D view.

Grid Preferences: Open the Grid Preferences window to manage how grids are displayed.

Toolbars: Turn the Mode, Actions, or Buttons toolbar on or off, or reset the toolbars to their original positions.

Reset View: Build the display using the original scale, and orientation settings.

Reset Center of Rotation: After changing the center of rotation using the Center of Rotation option on the Buttons toolbar, reset the center of rotation to be the center of the area of interest (AOI).

Remove All Surfaces from Display: Remove all surfaces from the 3D display. This provides an alternative to opening the 3D Cross Section Display Controls dialog box and manually removing all of the surfaces.

Remove All Picks/Points From Display: Remove all picks and points from the 3D display. This provides an alternative to opening the 3D Pick Display dialog box and manually removing all of the picks.

Build Display: Refresh the display. Use this to ensure that all of the data in the display is up-to-date. You can also access this tool from the Buttons toolbar and from the Actions toolbar.
