Moving a Project’s Microsoft® SQL Database Without Moving the Project Folder or Data
Because of server upgrades, or changes in file structures, you may need
to move a project’s database from one SQL Server instance to
another, without changing the location of the project data. This can be
done from the Convert
Database utility.
-
From the Project menu of the SeisWare Main Launcher select Close. You can not be accessing the database during the conversion process.
-
From the Project menu of the Main Launcher select Convert Database.
-
Select the project and then change the To Database Type to "SQL Server", and then enter the new Server Name.
-
Click Convert.
Your project name will remain the same in your project list.
