Data Loader: 3D Keywords
Use the Keywords page to specify keywords that are needed for loading 3D SEG-Y files. Keywords define the location of crucial information within the SEG-Y trace header. For 3D data the following keywords should be defined.
- Line Sequence Number
- Trace Sequence Number
- Coordinate X
- Coordinate Y

Defining Keywords from the Header
Keyword File: Select
a previously defined
keyword file that contains the required
keyword definitions.
Scan Headers: Load the files into the SEG-Y Viewer. The SEG-Y Viewer is a tool that allows you to examine the headers of the SEG-Y files and define the required keywords.
Automatically detect keyword files (one per input file): When this is turned on, the Data Loader will automatically check for a keyword file (.kwd) that matched the input SEG-Y (*.sgy) file and use it. For example, if loading Line1.sgy, there should be a Line1.kwd file in the same folder location for this feature to work. You will not have to specify the Keyword file above.

When Headers don't contain Keywords
Specify
Geometry: If the coordinate information is missing from the
headers you can
specify the corner geometry information manually by popping up the Specify Geometry dialog.
You will
need three corner point locations to define the geometry
manually. The data loader will calculate location information
for
each trace from the corner points and store it in the trace header of
the output file.
Advanced: If you do not have a Line Sequence Number or a Trace Sequence Number in the trace headers you can using the Advanced Trace and Line Description dialog to define these values manually.
