Active Dialogs
Use Large Icons:Turn this on if you would like to use larger icons on the Basemap. Depending on the users monitor size, some icons can be difficult to see. To maximize screen space make sure this option is not turned on.
Reset Toolbars:Restores the default location for all toolbars and dialog boxes on the Basemap. Useful if a toolbar is "missing" or has been moved off the screen.
Note: If you have customized the positions of the toolbars or dialogs on the Basemap, their layout may be lost when this option is chosen.
Colorbar Flipped:When this option is turned on the colorbar will display the
smallest values at the bottom. By default the smallest
values are shown at the top. NOTE: This does not flip the colormap itself,
just the appearance of the colorbar both on the screen and on print
outs.
Redraw Map: This will redraw the map without reloading the horizons. If the map did not automatically update all information (e.g. editing culture) the redraw map forces this correction.
Redraw Map and Horizons:Redraws and reloads the map and horizons. Reloading the horizons may correct issues involving scaling or the colorbar.
Redraw & Read DB: While "Reload Horizon & Draw Map" re-read the horizons display, this feature will force a complete reread of the database, including well locations, well tops, curves, etc. Needless to say, this will take much longer than reloading the horizons. Sometimes simply exiting the map and launching it again is quicker. This is due to the fact that re-reading the database may cause large amounts of memory reallocation.
Fixed Scales: Use the menu to select from a list of predefined scales to zoom the Basemap to.
Zoom In: Press and hold the left mouse
button on the starting point to zoom in on. Drag the mouse, while
holding the left mouse button down, to the second point. A rectangle
will drag out. Let go of the left mouse button at the point you wish to
zoom at. If the region selected is not too small, the select region
will be zoomed to fit the window maintaining the aspect ratio.
The ESCAPE key will cause the zoom to be aborted if you are in
the process of zooming.
Zoom Out: Zooms the map out by 50% of the current scale. The center of the map will remain in the same position.
Zoom Previous:Restores the zoom previous to the last zooming operation. Can be used multiple times as an 'Undo' to zooming operations.
Zoom Original:Restores the zoom that the map had when it was first launched.
Zoom To Fit: Scales the map to fit all active data into the window. This will cause the entire map to be zoomed to fit inside the window maintaining the aspect ratio. Previous zooms will not be forgotten, so you can restore the previous view by selecting the zoom out icon.
Zoom To:
Launches the "Enter Zoom Area" dialog which allows the user
to specify the corner points for the zoom in map units. Simply
enter the coordinates of the top left and bottom right corners, then
click "OK" to zoom to that location.
