Culture Editing: Toolbars
You can turn on culture editing by clicking the Edit Culture icon on the Basemap, pressing
the keyboard shortcut C while the Basemap is
active, or by selecting Edit Culture from
the Edit
menu on the Basemap. You will see the Culture
Editor Toolbar
docked by default to the bottom of your Basemap. As you select
and create culture objects, additional toolbars will become available.
Culture Editing Toolbars
Culture Editor Toolbar: The Culture Editor Toolbar is used to select, create, and delete culture objects and layers. It also contains a variety of drawing tools used to create new culture objects, symbols, and text. As you select objects and tools, additional toolbars will open.
Culture Common Toolbar: The Culture Common Toolbar is used to select colors for the culture object, define the width and height of the object, and define a contour value when applicable.

Culture Line Toolbar: The Culture Line Toolbar is used to define the width of the line used to draw the object, select fill properties, and define line types. There are additional tools that toggle smoothing, close polygons, and allow you to join, extend, and erase culture objects.

Culture Text Toolbar: The Culture Text Toolbar is used to define the properties for text and symbols.
