Seismic Analysis: Dipscan/Variance Parameters

The Dipscan/Variance Parameters page will be present when certain geometric attributes are selected. The dipscan and variance attribute parameters have two categories, the first being parameters for the dipscan, and the second being a parameter for the variance attributes.

Dipscan Parameters

Number of Traces: The number of traces over which to calculate the dipscan, odd numbers work best to allow for the middle trace.

Time Window (ms): The size of the moving window over which to calculate the dip.

Max Dip (ms/trace): The assumed maximum dip over the dataset.

Dip Increment (ms): The increment over which to test the correlation between traces to find the most likely dip value.

Variance Parameters

Time Window (ms): This parameter defines the size a moving window over which the variance is calculated.
