Grid and Contour: Grid Existing Contour

Select an existing contour from the list to grid.

Select Existing Contour

Select a contour to use in the gridding operation. To help you make your grid selection, you can sort any of the columns by clicking on the column header, you can apply a filter (), or you can type a search string into the search bar to limit the list based on Name, or Owner information.

For additional selection and navigation options right click on the list of contours to access the shortcut menu.

Resample Contour Vertices: This options resamples the contour points, so that there is an even spacing in the control points being used for the gridding process. The original contours are not changed.

Sample Interval: This is the interval in map units between points along the contour line that will be used in the gridding process. This field is only enable if resampling is turned on.
