Print Properties

The Print Properties is used to set print features like fonts and colors, adding Title and Description and turning on and off specific legend items.
The Print Properties dialog can be opened from the File menu, or clicking on the Print Properties icon  on the Basemap, or while in a Print Preview.

Properties

Print displayed portion of map or Print entire map: You may select between printing the entire map, or only the portion of the map visible in the window. Use screen scale: If the toggle to Use screen scale is checked then the current scaling of the Basemap is also used for printing. If unchecked then a Print Scale must be specified. Highlight last seismic track: When turned on, this feature will keep the last piece of seismic that was tracked highlighted on your map. Print sticky notes: Remove Sticky Notes from plots without turning them off in Layer Properties. Apply layer visibility to plots: When printing at a different scale that the screen scale this may change the data being displayed on the plot due to Layer Visibilitysettings. When turned of the plot won't differ from the current Basemap view. Well Line Width: This will enhance the width of wells for printing only. Select from Thin, Medium, Thick and Fat.

Color:

Lightness: Use this slider to lighten the color palette. Doing so will reduce the amount of ink used in the hard copy and ensure that the print out has improved contrast. Apply to Metafile Output: Applies palette lightening to metafile outputs. May be useful if you are printing the metafile from another application.

Title / Description

Title: Enter the title and specify its properties. Font and Font Size: Use the drop down to select the font style and specify the size. Text:Enter the title of the plot in this field. Legend: Enter the description and specify its properties. Font and Font Size:Use the drop down to select the font style and specify the size. Text:Enter the description of the plot in this field. Info Area: Enter extra information for the plot. Font and Font Size:Use the drop down to select the font style and specify the size. Print user name:Include user name in the Project Information field of the Sidebar Legend. Print computer name:Include computer name in the Project Information field of the Sidebar Legend

Legend

Legend Font: Select a font from the drop down. This will not be applied to the title or description. Legend Font Size: Enter a font size Print sidebar legend: Toggle the legend items on and off. These selections will be reflected in the Montage Editor.These options are: Print colorbar Print well legend Print well posting legend Print title/desc. area Print scale bar Print criteria legend Print logos Print project information Print direction arrow: If specified to print also select the size and color of the arrow to be printed.
