Basemap: Active Dialogs

Active dialogs provide information about what is being displayed on your map, and in some cases can be used interactively to help you select data, change the appearance of data, and navigate quickly to additional windows and dialog boxes. To turn active dialogs on or off, from the View menu on the Basemap, select  Active Dialogs, and then select the name of the active dialog. Active dialogs are normally docked to the perimeter of your map, and you can move, resize, and undock the active dialogs to customize the map's appearance.
