Basemap: Moving, Resizing and Docking Active Dialogs
When you open your Basemap for the first time, the you will see the Colorbar, Data Tracker, Current Selection, Status Bar, and Navigator active dialogs docked to the perimeter of your Basemap. These can be resized and moved to customize your display. Note: The Status Bar active dialog can't be moved, and doesn't have an associated shortcut menu.
Turning Active Dialogs On and Off | To turn active dialogs on or off, from the View menu on the Basemap, select Active Dialogs, and then select the name of the active dialog. To quickly turn an active dialog off, right click on the dialog box, and select Hide from the shortcut menu. |
Moving Active Dialogs | Click on the dialog, and drag it to a new position. You will see an outline showing you where the dialog will be placed when you release the mouse button. The dialog box can be placed on any side of the map, or next to an existing row of active dialogs. |
Resizing Active Dialogs |

Docking and Undocking Active Dialogs |
Active dialogs don't have to be docked to the perimeter of the Basemap.
To undock an active dialog, right click on the active dialog and select Allow Docking from the shortcut menu. Once the dialog box is undocked, it can be resized and moved. To dock the dialog box, right click on the dialog box and select Allow Docking from the shortcut menu. Drag the dialog box to the edge of the map and release the mouse when the outline is in the right position. You can also double click on the title bar, which will place the dialog box in its last docked position. |
Resetting Active Dialogs | If your active dialogs get misplaced, you can reset their positions. From the View menu on the Basemap, select Reset Toolbars. This will reset both the active dialogs, and the toolbars. |
