Well Template Designer: Well Template Properties
The Well Template Properties dialog box is used to set the display parameters for any of the items selected in the template. This allows you to set defaults like track widths and increments as well as set options for log curves like ranges, colors and fills. Once the template is create, you can use it for display in applications like the Cross Section Viewer.
To see the properties for an item, select it in the Well Template Tree dialog.
Well Template Properties
Well Header
Bore Color: This sets the color of the well bores in the display. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box and change the color for the well bores.
Bore Thickness: Enter a well bore thickness width in points.
Header: Turn this on to show the header for the well.
Lock Headers: Turn this on to lock headers to the top of the well. If this option is turned off headers will remain at the topmost viewable portion of the well as the user scrolls down the well.
Well Symbol: Turn this on to display well symbols.
Size: Select the symbol size.
Color: Specify the color of the well symbol. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box and change the well symbol color.
Well Label: Turn this on to display a well label in the header.
Title: Select display Government ID, Name, Number, Plot Name, or UWI for the well label. Users can also select the size, font, and color for the well label.
Size: Select the font size for the well label.
Color: Specify the color of the well label. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box and change the font color for the well label.
Labels:In this section users can add additional labels to the header.
Add Label: Add a label to the header. This will add a new entry to the header labels table.
Duplicate Label: Duplicate the selected label in the header labels table.
Move Label Up: Move the selected label up a line. Multiple labels can be displayed on the same line. Refer to the Line column in the header labels table to see which line the label is being displayed on.
Move Label Down: Move the selected label down a line. Multiple labels can be displayed on the same line. Refer to the Line column in the header labels table to see which line the label is being displayed on.
Open Label Properties: Opens the Well Label Properties dialog for the selected label. Here the label properties can be edited. Use the arrows in the top right corner to view the properties of the previous
or the next
well label in the label table. Alternatively, users can click on the label from the table to populate the Well Label Properties.
Visible: Select whether or not the label will be visible in the cross section. This can also be toggled on and off from under the Visible column in the header labels table.
Data Type: Select whether to display General Well Information (GWI) or Production data as labels.
Label Properties for GWI Labels
Title: Select the GWI field to label
Override: Turn this on to override the settings in Default Label Properties for the label. Users can override the font, size, color, and visibility of the field name for the label.
Label Properties for Production labels
Title: Select the GWI field to label
Override: Turn this on to override the settings in Default Label Properties for the label. Users can override the font, size, color, decimals, and visibility of the field name for the label.
Units for Production Data: Select the units in which to display the production information.
Time on Units: Select the time on the selected units.
Convert values to BOE: Toggle this on to convert the production values to BOE and enter an Energy Conversion Factor.
Restrict Production Data: Toggle this on to restrict the production data based on a time window, and/or whether the data is non-zero or complete.
Delete Label: Delete the selected label.
Default Label Properties: These properties will be used to display the labels from the labels table if the label does not have the Override option turned on.
Size: Select the font size for the labels.
Font: Select the font for the labels.
Color: Specify the color of the labels. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box and change the font color for the labels.
Decimals: Specify the number of decimals that will be displayed for the labels.
Show Field Name: Toggle this on to display the field names for the labels.
Footer: Turn this on to show the footer for the well.
Lock Footers: Turn this on to lock footers to the bottom of the well. If this option is turned off footers will remain at the bottommost viewable portion of the well as the user scrolls up the well.

Track Scale
Show Header/Footer: Check this on to display a track header or footer.
Location: Select to display at either the header or footer of the track.
Font: Specify the font of header/footer.
Size: Specify the size of the header/footer.
Show Background:Check this on to display a background on the track.
Color:Specify the background color.
Track Properties
Side: Select to which side of the well the track should be drawn. You can put tracks to the Right or Left of the well bore.
Width: Set the width of the track area, specified in inches.
Background: Toggle on to override the settings below.
Color: Set the color of the background of the track.
Depths
Display: Set the depth units that are being used in the track for display. You can chose to display the depth markers in Subsea or Measured Depth.
Automatically calculate increments: Allow the application to automatically determine the spacing for depth lines drawn on the track.
Major Ticks: Turn on to set the options for Major (bolder) tick lines.
Increment: The depth increment that is used to space the major depth lines.
Thickness: The line thickness used for major tick lines, specified in points.
Color: The color of the major tick lines.
Minor Ticks: Turn on to set the options for Minor tick lines.
Increment: The depth increment that is used to space the minor depth lines.
Thickness: The line thickness used for minor tick lines, specified in points.
Color: The color of the minor tick lines.
Additional Depth Track Properties

Show Labels: Check this on to display depth track labels.
Font:Specify the font of the depth track labels.
Size:Specify the font size of the depth track labels.
Horizontal Position:Choose to display the depth track labels to the left, right or center of the depth track tick of the horizontal portion of the well.
Vertical Position:Choose to display the depth track labels to the top, bottom or center of the depth ticks on the vertical portion of the well.
Color:Specify the color of the depth track labels.
Show Background:Check this on to display a background for the depth track labels.
Color:Specify the color for the depth track label background.
Curve Properties 
Type: The method that was used to define the curve. You can specify the curve used for display by using either an Alias or a Log Name.
Alias/Name: The name specified for display. This can either be an Alias or a Name, depending on what was selected for the Type shown above.
Range: Set the display range for the log data.
Type: Define how the logs will be scaled with the methods described below.
Auto: Automatically sets the long scale using the minimum and maximum values of the log curve.
Custom: Allows a user defined left and right value.Note: Use this option to enable the Left/Right value fields for editing
Left Value: The value on the left edge of the log track used for displaying the log.
Right Value: The value on the right edge of the log track used for displaying the log.
Logarithmic: Toggle this one to scale the values of the log curve logarithmically.
Display Mode: Defines the type of drawing mode for the log curve.
Line: Draws only a line to represent the log data
Fill: Draws the area that exists between the edges of the track and the log track line with parameters that can be specified below.
Line and Fill: Draws both a line to represent the log curve along with a filled area as specified below.
Line: Set the properties of the log curve line. Specify the Thickness in points. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box to change the line color. Change the Opacity if you want to see other stacked objects, otherwise leaving this at 100 means a solid line is drawn.
Fill: Set the properties for the fill to be used when drawing the log curve.
Type: The fill can either be a Solid Color using a single color, or a Palette which can be specified below.
Side: The side that the fill is applied to. It can drawn from either the Left edge of the track to the log curve line, or from the log curve line to the Right edge of the track. Setting it to Both will shade the entire log curve track.
Color: This is the color to be used for the fill. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box to change the line color.
Opacity: Set the opacity level of the fill colors. Note: Setting this to 100 means the fill is fully opaque and objects below cannot be seen.
Palette: This is the palette to be used for the fill if the palette option was selected in the Type. The drop down contains the list of palettes available in this project.
Flip: Toggling this on will flip the entire palette so that the colors display in the reverse order than the original palette definition.Cut Off Values: This sets a threshold above or below which fill values will not be drawn.
Above: Toggle to enable, and fills that exist above the specified value will no longer be drawn.
Below: Toggle to enable, and fills that exist below the specified value will no longer be drawn.
Major Grid Lines: Toggle on to show grid lines at the specified Increment vertically in the log track area. The units are those of the selected log curve. You can specify the Thickness in points. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box to change the grid line color.
Minor Grid Lines: Toggle on to show grid lines at the specified Increment vertically in the log track area. The units are those of the selected log curve. You can specify the Thickness in points. Click on the color field to open the Select Color dialog box to change the grid line color.
Zone Properties
Display Zones List: Select from the drop down which zones list to display in the template. Use to launch Set Displayed Zones and Attributes to change or create new zone lists.
Individual Zone Properties
Opacity: Set the opacity level of the zone. Note: Setting this to 100 means the fill is fully opaque. Zone colors are determined by your displayed zone list.
