Seismic Viewer: Graphical Stretch/Squeeze

Stretching/Squeezing allows you to modify a synthetic or curves by changing the time depth relationship for that well.  In order to perform stretch/squeeze a synthetic or velocity curve must be displayed on the seismic.

General Information

Select Well

Select a well to stretch or squeeze. By default the last well you were working with will be highlighted. If you want to select a different well, click on a well symbol on the Seismic Viewer or on the Basemap.

Velocity Curve Parameters

Velocity Curve: The active velocity curve for the well. This is the starting curve that will be modified by the stretch/squeeze process.

Source: The source for the active velocity curve for the selected well.

Interval Velocity: This readout tracks the average interval velocity between the anchor arrow and the stretch/squeeze arrow while a stretch squeeze is being performed.  This can be used to help keep data values in a reasonable range. Change the units to see this value displayed with different units.

Stretch/Squeeze Operations

Undo: Allows you to undo the last stretch or squeeze operation.

Undo All:  Allows you to undo all stretch and squeeze operations performed on the curve after the last save.

Save: Saves the active velocity curve to the database with all the stretch/squeeze operations performed on it.  This allows other applications to see the modified velocity curve and ensures that it will be used the next time a Seismic Viewer is brought up.

Save As: Allows you to save the active velocity curve to the database without overwriting the existing velocity curve.  The new curve becomes the active velocity curve.  Other applications will recognize the new velocity curve, and it will be used the next time a Seismic Viewer is brought up.
