Time/Depth Velocity Modeling: General Properties
The General Properties tab
in the Time/Depth Properties dialog
box is used to specify the cell size and units of the output grid, and
to select the intermediate grids that will be saved to the project.
Datum Settings
Seismic
Datum: The seismic datum for the project. This value is for your information
and can't be changed from this location.
Depths
referenced from
datum: Use this option when
the depths should be subsea.
Output Options
Apply residual adjustment: Apply a residual to the output grid. This is used to make your depth maps tie more closely to the top depth values.
Cell Size: Specify the cell size, in map units, for the output grids. Entering a small value will result in longer gridding times. You can also change this value from the Standard Toolbar.
Velocity Scale Factor: Specify the number of grid cells to combine into a single velocity value. Use this to speed up gridding and smooth the velocity grid. The resulting depth grid will more closely reflect the time grid.
Output Depths Units: Select the depth units for the output grid. This will default to the depth units of the project.
