Seismic Display Properties: Scale
The Scale page allows the user to set the density of traces in the
seismic
display.
Trace Scale
Use map scale: Sets the seismic display to use mapping scales rather than traces per inch for trace spacing.
Map Scale: Specify the map scale to use for trace spacing. This is only meaningful if the Use Map Scale option is selected. The map scale spaces the traces according to the actual length of the line on the map. For example if you had the map scale set to 1:5000 and your base map was also set to 1:5000 the seismic section would appear the same length as it does on the map. Optionally you can specify the map scale as a relative scale where one inch on the screen or plot equals a given number of feet in the real world. The map scale option is most useful when comparing lines with different trace spacing.
Use traces per inch:Set the seismic display to use traces per inch rather than a relative map scale for trace spacing.
Trace Scaling (Traces/Inch): Specify the number of traces per inch to display the seismic at. This is only used if the Use Traces Per Inch option is selected.
Line Scaling (Lines/Inch):Specify the number of lines per inch to display the seismic at. This is used to determine the distance between traces in the cross line direction for 3D seismic displays, as well as for slices. Normally this will be the same as the trace scaling but might be set differently for lines that have different bin spacing. This is only used if the Use Traces Per Inch option is selected.
Lock:Lock
the Trace Scaling and
Line Scaling
together. Any change to one will be reflected in the other.
You
will normally leave the two locked unless you are trying to view a 3D
that has different line and trace spacing.
Vertical Scale
Time Scaling (Inches/Second): Specify the vertical scale of the seismic display for time seismic volumes.
Depth Scaling: Select
either
Meters/Inch, Feet/Inch, Meters/cm or Feet/cm for setting the vertical
scale for depth seismic volumes.
Zoom Step
Trace Scale Zoom
Step (%): The percentage at
which the horizontal zoom increases
when using the Increase Horizontal
Scale (
)
or Decrease
Horizontal
Scale (
)icons
on the Scaling
toolbar.
Vertical
Scale Zoom Step (%): The
percentage
at which the vertical zoom increases when using the Increase Vertical Scale (
)
or Decrease
Vertical Scale
(
)icons
on the Scaling
toolbar.
