Zoom Window: Quick Filtering

The Quick Filtering allows you set up an interactive bandpass filter on the data in the Zoom window.

General Information

Select Lines for Filtering

Select the seismic lines that you want filtered. Only lines displayed in the zoom window will be available in this list. Left click to select a seismic line, or use the Ctrl key on your keyboard to select multiple seismic lines. The seismic lines can be moved between the Available  and Selected lists using the selection arrows, or by double clicking on a single line.

Filtering Options

Filter the data: Toggle this off to quickly remove the filter but retain the settings.

Low Truncation: All frequencies below this value are removed.  Frequencies between this and the Low Cut frequency are smoothly ramped up using a cosine taper.

Low Cut: Frequencies between the Low Truncation and this frequency are smoothly ramped up using a cosine taper. Frequencies between this and the High Cut frequency are left unchanged.

High Cut:Frequencies between the Low Cut and this frequency are left unchanged. Frequencies between this and the High Truncation frequency are smoothly ramped down using a cosine taper.

High Truncation: Frequencies above this value are removed.  Frequencies between the High Cut and this frequency are smoothly ramped down using a cosine taper.

Lock: When checked the first toggle will maintain the difference between the Low Truncation and Low Cut frequencies.  When checked the second toggle will maintain the difference between the Low Cut and High Cut frequencies.  When checked the third toggle will maintain the difference between the High Cut and High Truncation frequencies.

Phase rotate the data:Toggle this off to quickly remove the phase rotation from the data.

Phase:Phase rotation applied to the data.  The phase is specified in degrees between -180 and 180.

Quick Filtering Operations

Process Line(s): Launch batch processing for all the datasets that currently have the filter applied.  This allows you to create a new version of the dataset on disk.

Apply to Main: Apply the filter to the data in the main viewer window.
