Seismic Display Properties: Faults

The Faults page allows you to specify the appearance of faults on the seismic display.

Fault Display Properties

Display Faults: Turn faults off or control their display thickness. Choose from:

  • Off
  • Thin
  • Medium
  • Thick

Show fault surface intersections: When checked, this will display fault triangles that intersect the seismic display.  When unchecked, only fault segments will be displayed.

Show fault segment intersections: When turned on, this will display the intersection of fault segments with the seismic section.  The intersection is displayed as a small box in the fault color.

Print Font: Define a font for the fault labels when printing.

Font Size (Points): Define the size of the font in standard font point size.

Active Fault Color: This control allows the user to specify the color of the active fault segment.  The active fault segment is the fault segment that is currently being edited.

3D Inline/Crossline Overlay

3D Inline/Crossline Overlay In Traces: This property allows you to control overlay of a shadow fault when displaying 3D inlines or crosslines.  When 0 is specified no overlay fault segments will be displayed.  When a value of 1 or greater is specified, all faults segments parallel to the current display for the given number of traces will be displayed on the current line.  For example, if you specified 5, the fault segments at each trace for the next 5, and previous 5 lines will be displayed as a shadow fault.
