Log Editor: Velocity Curves

The Velocity Curve Properties dialog box is used to adjust the properties of the velocity curve track, including curve selection and range. 

How to Generate a Velocity Curve Track

  1. Click the Add Velocity Curve Track icon  or select Add Velocity Curve Track from the Tools menu. A track displaying the active velocity curve will be added to your display.

  2. Right click on the velocity track and select Track Properties from the shortcut menu.

  3. Adjust the velocity curve properties.

  4. Click 

General Information

Velocity Curve to Display 

Select the velocity curve to use.

Active Curve: Display the active velocity curve for the well. The option to select the source and owner can also be selected.

Select Curve: Select the velocity curve you want to display.

Scales 

Determine the range to use at the bottom of the curve track.

Use automatic range: The horizontal range of the track will be determined using the minimum and  maximum values of the log curve.

Set range: Turn this on and enter the Left and Right values that you want to appear in the track. 

Curve 

Specify the appearance of the curve line.

Width: The width of the line used to draw the curve.

Color: The color of the line used to draw the curve.

Opacity: The opacity applied to the line used to draw the curve.
