Log Editor: Velocity Curves
The Velocity Curve Properties dialog box is used to adjust the properties of the velocity curve track, including curve selection and range.
How to Generate a Velocity Curve Track
- Click the Add Velocity Curve Track icon
or select Add Velocity Curve Track from
the Tools menu. A track displaying the active velocity curve will be added to your display. - Right click on the velocity
track and select Track Properties from the shortcut menu.

General Information
Velocity Curve to Display
Select the velocity curve to use.
Active Curve: Display the active velocity curve for the well. The option to select the source and owner can also be selected.
Select Curve: Select the velocity curve you want to display.
Scales
Determine the range to use at the bottom of the curve track.
Use automatic range: The horizontal range of the track will be determined using the minimum and maximum values of the log curve.
Set range: Turn this on and enter the Left and Right values that you want to
appear in the track.
Curve
Specify the appearance of the curve line.
Width: The width of the line used to draw the curve.
Color: The color of the line used to draw the curve.
Opacity: The opacity applied to the line used to draw the curve.
