Getting Started: Well Planning

Where do I plan a well?

You can create a new well plan from several locations in your project:

• Well Planning dialog box

• Seismic Viewer

• Basemap

As you modify your plan, you can switch between applications. In y our current application, enter planning mode by clicking on the Well Planning icon, changing it from inactive () to active (). To stop editing, right click, or click on the active icon so that it becomes inactive. The Well Planning dialog box always allows you to make changes to the well plan and you do not need to enter any modes. If you close the Well Planning dialog box before any changes are saved, the well plan will be lost.
