Well Curve Calculator: Normalization

Use the Normalization page to select curve data to normalize using the minimum and maximum data values of an existing curve, or using user-defined minimum and maximum values. Note: This operation will only scale the data associated with the curves, and not remove spikes in the data. You may need to edit the curves using the Log Editor before normalizing the curve data.

Input

Curve: Select a curve to normalize. Note: You can only select one curve. To perform a normalization on multiple curves, you have to perform multiple operations.

Normalize With

Well: Use the minimum and maximum values from the selected Curve associated with the selected Well to scale the Curve of the wells selected on the Select Data page of the Curve Calculator.

Reference Well: Select a well from the list. The minimum and maximum values from the selected Curve associated with this well will be used to scale the curve of the wells selected on the Select Data page of the Curve Calculator.

Values: Enter Min and Max values to scale the curves of the wells selected on the Select Data page of the Curve Calculator.

Output

Name:Specify a name for the output curve(s). By default this will be written and the name of the input Curve with the suffix "_NORM". Alternately, you can select an existing curve to overwrite, or type in the name of a new curve.

Source: Specify a source for output curve(s).
