Selecting Seismic

There are three basic steps to displaying seismic:
- Initiate the selection.
- Select either a multi-segment
or multi-layer
display.
- Click on a selection
mode icon, or select one from the seismic
selection mode drop down.
- Select the seismic for display.
- The selection
mode chosen will determine the combination of left mouse
button clicks required to select seismic for display.
- The selection
mode chosen will determine the combination of left mouse
button clicks required to select seismic for display.
- Display the selection.
- The right mouse button is always used to complete the current selection and open the display:
- in the Seismic Viewer
- in the Attribute Viewer
- as a 2D Graph
Note: To open an entire 2D line you can double LMB click on the 2D line on the Basemap, without first initiating the selection, or picking a selection mode.

All seismic selections and properties related to selecting the seismic
are chosen from the Seismic
Selection Toolbar.

Click on the selection mode for more information about each mode,
and how to use it.

The following is a list of additional features which may aid you when selecting seismic.
Line Tracker Active Dialog: View a list of all the data that lies near the last mouse click on the Basemap.
Current Selection Active Dialog: View a list of lines currently selected for display, change line versions, modify the selection order, save the segments in a file, and open saved segment files.

Selection Properties: Contains options on how the selections
behaves when working with 3D
volumes.

Display
Properties: Controls how the data will be displayed in the Seismic Viewer.
